A frequently asked question we get is about the time-saving benefits of the Elumen App Test emergency light range; does it really save time?

Whilst not a new technology to the Fire Industry, having emergency lights that test themselves in accordance with AS/NZS 2293.2 table 2.7 and 2.8, can truly become an extra arm within your workforce! And we're big fans of the Elumen App Test Lights as they combine the latest self-test technology with a rich smartphone app interface that not only looks great but is easy and intuitive to use!

Thorough testing and inspection of properties is crucial for safety, especially during a fire. Emergency lights provide essential guidance for quick exits. It's vital to ensure that emergency lighting systems function properly during power failures, regardless of the site's size. 

Using Elumen App Test lights eliminates the need for on-site emergency light drop tests, saving significant time, as the work has already been done prior to your visit. 

A small establishment, like a café, typically has around 3-5 emergency lights that require a minimum testing duration of 90 minutes, in addition to other fire safety equipment on-site. While you might set aside 1.5 to 2 hours for inspecting such a location, using Elumen App Test Lights allows you to complete the same inspection in less than 30 minutes. Additionally, you'll have comprehensive test results documented for easy access in the future, and mitigate any power loss disruptions to the client.

We have not and will not recommend App Test to clients as a viable substitute to a qualified fire safety assessor.
